Maybe here on the forum, with a special area (threads) where we could post tested drivers on our configurations, with the possibilty to neatly stack information.HP EliteBook 8540p Notebook PC series, Most Recent HP Notebook Softwares and Available Drivers Download Center for Microsoft Windows 7 Operating Systems. If maintaining some kind of "non-native" driver support would take to much of HP resourses, I am quite sure that we, users, would like to participate. But eather way it would be a nice "gesture" knowing that there is a possibility for some kind of support with drivers.

Other aspects of the laptop I consider top knotch and plan to purchase a new model when this wont do anymore, either due to wear or lack of performanse. I did SSD, RAM (16GB) upgrade and laptop got wings. I consider myself a advanced user and my laptop is my mobile office. Infact it should be in a some way even a compliment for quality and robustnes that some older series laptops are still "alive and kicking" I believe that I am not the only one who is struggling with similar issues. I understand that supporting such diversity of hardware that HP has is a big thing, but it would be nice to lets say have some type of support for "no-native" support. The "only" thing I had to do i to thoroughly investigate later Elitebook models and compare hardware + forum suggestions.

Why? Whell, because I managed (with the help of google, this forum, forums of other manufacturers, namely Lenovo & Dell) to install working drivers for all hardware on my laptop on Windows 10, and none of the drivers are natively supported for Elitebook 8560p (or at least that was the impression that I got from the HP`s drivers site). In my opinion, native support is very, very, very, loosely defined.
